WESTMORELAND, Kan. (WIBW) - The suspect in the New Year's Day killing of a Rossville man will stand trial on homicide charges.
21-year-old Pablo Gonzalez was in court Thursday for his preliminary hearing. The judge ruled there was sufficient evident to bind him over for trial on charges of second degree murder and aggravated assault.
The charges stem from the killing of 24-year-old Levi Bishop. Bishop was brought to the Saint Marys police station in the early hours of January 1, 2014, suffering from a gunshot wound. He died before emergency responders arrived.
Gonzalez will return to court February 25th for arraignment. Gonzalez remains in the Pottawatomie County jail on a $1 million bond.
