A stolen vehicle popped up in the bottom of a ditch early Monday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., Shawnee County Dispatch received a report of a possible car accident on Auburn Road near the K-4 intersection.
Authorities say that when emergency responders arrived, nobody was inside the car.
Shawnee County Sheriffs Deputies learned shortly after arriving to the scene that the vehicle was reported stolen through the Topeka Police Department.
Crews had the red Chevy Cavalier towed and the accident scene cleared by 8 a.m.
The stolen vehicle report was turned over to the Topeka Police Department.
