RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say $8,000 worth of steel was reported stolen from a job site.
Officials say sometime between September 20th and October 23, 2012, an unknown suspect or suspects removed steel pilings from an open construction material storage area on westbound K-18.
The victim of the theft is listed as United Contractors Inc. out of Johnston, Iowa.
Police say 31 steel H pilings in both 7 and 8 ft. lengths were taken as well as several steel piling caps.
