Six Arrested In Multi-Agency Meth Bust

RILEY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Members of local, state and federal agencies arrested six people in Manhattan and Wamego Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into the dealing of methamphetamine.

The Riley County Police Department issued a press release on the drug bust Thursday afternoon.

During the early morning hours on Thursday, July 26, 2012, five search warrants were executed by the Riley County Police Department, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"The search warrants were in reference to the distribution of methamphetamine," the press release stated.

Three of the five homes that were searched by authorities were located in the Redbud Estates, a mobile home park on Farm Bureau Road in Manhattan. A home on Denholm Drive in Manhattan was also the location of a search warrant as well as a home on Royal Circle in Wamego.

As a result, the following individuals were arrested:

Ricardo Enrique Carrillo-Leyva, 34, of 14780 Royal Circle in Wamego, was arrested for the Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was held at the Pottawatomie County Jail.

Alberto Martinez-Banuelas, 22, of 2500 Farm Bureau Road #230 in Manhattan, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Endangerment of a Child. He was held at the Riley County Jail.

Kasey Delay, 21, of 2500 Farm Bureau Road #230 in Manhattan, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Endangerment of a Child. She was held at the Riley County Jail.

Bernardo Rodriguez-Gamez, 52, of 2500 Farm Bureau Road #274 in Manhattan, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was held at the Riley County Jail.

Luis Esteban-Rodriguez, 36, of 2500 Farm Bureau Road #274 in Manhattan, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. He was held at the Riley County Jail.

Laura Miller, 31, of 1815 Denholm in Manhattan, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Klonopin, Ativan, and Drug Paraphernalia. She was held at the Riley County Jail.

This investigation is still ongoing, according to police. Police did not indicate the quantity of drugs that were seized.
