TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Police officers were making a traffic stop at SW 6th & Harrison at about 1:32 a.m. Tuesday when they noticed one of the people in the car had been shot. Police called an ambulance, which took the man to a local hospital. His wound was considered non-life threatening.
Officers spoke with witnesses that were also in the car and developed information on the suspect.
While officers were at the hospital conducting follow up, the possible suspect showed up, arriving by private vehicle. The suspect also had a minor gunshot wound.
Police say the witnesses were taken to the Law Enforcement Center to talk with Detectives. The investigation was still ongoing Tuesday morning.
