TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities Wednesday released the names of two people found dead Tuesday night in a Tecumseh home.
According to the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office, Andrew Jackson, Jr., 57 and Carolyn R. Jackson, 52 were found dead in their home Tuesday evening.
Lt. Jay Simecka says deputies were contacted just before 7:30 pm Tuesday to check on the welfare of a person at a home in the 4700 block of SE 21st St. After unsuccessful attempts to make contact with anyone inside the home, Simecka says deputies entered the home and found two people dead.
Shawnee County Court records show that Carolyn filed for divorce from Andrew on March 19th. A temporary restraining order against Andrew was also filed at that time.
Simecka said Tuesday it was unknown if foul play is involved. He says the Shawnee County Coroner will conduct an autopsies soon.
They asked anyone with information to contact Det. Clemmons at 785-368-2200.
