Sentencing Set For Man Charged With Killing Ft. Riley Soldier

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A Manhattan man will be sentenced in December for killing a Fort Riley soldier.

43 year-old Matthew Wilson is due back in Riley County court December 12th.

Wilson pleaded no contest Friday to one count of first degree murder-- two counts of attempted first degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery.

Prosecutors say Wilson began shooting in April as four people left a Manhattan apartment.

22 year-old army Sgt. Michael Lowery was killed-- two women and one man were wounded.

Wilson and Lowery lived in the same apartment complex..
