Sentencing Set For Man Convicted Of Rape, Aggravated Criminal Sodomy

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) - Sentencing is set for a man convicted of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and furnishing alcohol to a minor.

37-year-old Clinton McKinney was convicted Monday for the events that occurred between July 28th and August 26th of 2012.

The victim, who was 15 at the time, testified that McKinney was staying with her family when he raped her.

She also told the court that in August of 2012 McKinney provided her alcohol and later that night forcefully committed aggravated criminal sodomy against her.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 11th. Depending on his criminal history, McKinney could get anywhere from 12 to 54 years with eh Department of Corrections.
