TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Northeast Kansas law enforcement officers are searching for one woman who escaped from the Topeka Correctional Facility.

Corrections officials say Kasandra Morris, 23, escaped Friday (8/31) afternoon. Officials say she's wanted for aggravated escape from custody from the Topeka Work Release Center. Officials say Morris took unauthorized leave. They say she should be considered dangerous.

Morris is 5'7 and 146 pounds. She was serving time on theft, burglary and fraud charges.

Debbie McAfee, 57, escaped Saturday (9/1) from the same facility, but officials say she turned herself in just hours later. McAfee is 5'3 and 167 pounds. She is back in jail for unlawfully manufacturing controlled substances.

Officials haven't released details on how the women escaped. Anyone with information should call the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-572-7463, or local law enforcement.
