TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man's new trial on rape charges is delayed.
A Shawnee County District Court judge granted a continuance for 53-year-old Ricky Stovall.
Last year, the Kansas Supreme Court reversed Stovall's 2007 conviction for the rape of his teenage daughter. Justices ruled Stovall's attorney had a conflict of interest, which was made known multiple times to the trial judge but the judge did not adequately explore the conflict.
Stovall's trial is now set for April 28th.
