MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Manhattan woman says a discussion about money turned dangerous when she was sexually assaulted by a man she knows.
The alleged rape happened on Saturday, April 20, 2013 between 3-3:30 AM at a residence in the northwest portion of Manhattan. An exact location was not released.
Police say the victim is an 18-year-old woman from Manhattan and the suspect is a man in his twenties.
According to RCPD spokesman Officer Matt Droge, the victim met up with the suspect to discuss money issues and the suspect ended up forcing himself on her.
No arrests have been made in the case. It remains under investigation.
Droge said the suspect is related to the U.S. military.
