RCPD Investigates $37K Theft At Job Site

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Manhattan construction company has out of thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

Riley County police officials say that between April and May of this year, five storage containers (valued at $20,000) and construction equipment inside the containers (valued at $17,000) was taken from a job site in the 4400 block of Anderson Avenue where Cheney Construction company was working.

The theft was reported to police on October 16, 2012 by Ronald Cheney.

Officials could not elaborate on the lapse in time between when the theft occurred and when it was reported.
