Public Input Leads To Arrest Of Alleged Robber

Junction City Press Release

On 10/21/2013, the Junction City Police Department had requested assistance from the public in identifying a subject that had committed an aggravated robbery at the Check N Go business located at 1009 W. 6th Street. This aggravated robbery had taken place on 10/19/2013, at approximately 1000 hours.

On 10/24/2013, with the assistance of public input, the subject was identified as Michael C. Jackson, 42 years of age. Mr. Jackson has been located and arrested on the charges of aggravated robbery and a felon in possession of a firearm. Mr. Jackson is currently being confined at the Geary County Detention Center, with no bond, pending first appearance in the Geary County District Court on 10/25/2013.

Previous Release

On 10/19/2013, at approximately 1000 hours, an unknown white male subject entered the Check N Go business located at 1009 W. 6th St., Junction City, Kansas and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of money. The subject while in the business, showed a gun, demanded money and after receiving it left without further incident. No one was harmed during the incident. The photograph of the suspect was able to be obtained from the video security system, which is attached.

The Junction City Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the subject shown in the attached photograph.
