MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Eleven people were arrested in Manhattan in what police officials say was part of an ongoing investigation into prostitution.

A press release from the Riley County Police Department states: "On April 25th and 26th, 2012, officers with the Riley County Police Department conducted an undercover operation targeting prostitution in Manhattan and Riley County. During this two day operation, a total of 11 arrests were made."

RCPD is releasing very few details about the busts but arrests reports indicate that they took place at 1501 Tuttle Creek Boulevard, the address for America’s Best Value Inn in Manhattan. Other arrests were also made at the Clarion Hotel on Richards Drive in Manhattan .

On Wednesday, April 25th, 2012, the following arrests were made at both hotels:

At the America's Best Value Inn, Shannon Lanell, 41, from Junction City was arrested and charged with prostitution.

Donte Roberts, 29, from Wichita, was arrested and charged with Endangering a Child Under the Age of 18 and Promoting Prostitution. He also faces charges of Theft and Failure to Appear.

Decemantrea Richardson, 21, from Wichita, was arrested and charged with Prostitution, Theft and Endangering a Child Under the Age of 18.

Police say the "Endangering a Child" charge stems from the fact that there was a child in the car with the suspects when they were arrested but the child was not directly involved in prostitution.

Cullen McGraw, 21, from Hiawatha, was arrested and charged with Obstruction of the Legal Process.

Alexander Roloff, 29, from Junction City, and Aaron Bailey, 21, from Fort Riley, were also arrested and charged on Wednesday with Patronizing a Prostitution at the Clarion Hotel.

On Thursday April 26th, 2012, the following arrests were made at the hotels:

At America's Best Value Inn, Karl Kandt, 44, from Herington, was arrested and charged with Patronizing Prostitution.

Pharel Petitfrere, 36, from Manhattan, was arrested and charged with Patronizing Prostitution.

At the Clarion Hotel, Adrian Shuckahosee, 29, from Topeka, was arrested and charged with Prostitution and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Amanda Korbe, 27, from Wichita, was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Prostitution.

Kara Washam-Pugh, 20, from Wichita, was arrested and charged with Prostitution and Counterfeiting/Forgery.

The press release on the prostitution stings went on to state: "Further operations of this nature are planned as RCPD will continue to strive to decrease crime and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Manhattan and Riley County."

Police say both hotels cooperated with the undercover stings and assisted officers with their investigation.

Officials cannot say if the arrests are connected to another bust earlier this month at America's Best Value Inn where police said that a runaway girl was found at the hotel working as a prostitute.

According to an RCPD press release, the teen was brought to the area by a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old female who have both been charged with sex trafficking.

Lieutenant Michael Quintanar with the Riley County Police Department's Investigations Division released the following information on the case:

"On April 5th 2012, Riley County detectives received a call from Sedgwick County authorities requesting assistance in locating a runaway juvenile in their area. They believed the female juvenile was in the Manhattan area and was involved in prostitution at one of the local hotels.

Detectives located the juvenile at America’s Best Value Inn and further investigation led the detectives to the people that transported the juvenile to the area at the Manhattan Town Center Mall. The juvenile and two other people were detained and transported to the police department. Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant to search the motel room.

The investigation revealed that a 15-year-old juvenile was brought to Manhattan by a man and woman for the purpose of prostitution. All three subjects were in possession of marijuana and two possessed drug paraphernalia. It was also confirmed that the juvenile was a runway from Sedgwick County, Kansas."

Zachary Bevilcqua, 19, from Winfield, Kansas, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking, Aggravated Endangering a Child and Possession of Marijuana.

Kendra Gonzalez, 17, from Wichita, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking, Aggravated Endangering a Child, Promoting Prostitution, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was transported to the North Central Kansas Juvenile Detention Facility in Junction City.

The name of the 15-year-old girl was not released since she was the victim of a sex crime. She was turned over to Sedgwick County authorities for being a Child in Need of Care – Runaway.

Police declined to release any further details on the case and would not comment on how the underage girl knew the two suspects.
