Police Nab Suspect In Evening Bank Robbery
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man is behind bars following a bank robbery and foot chase.
Employees at Community National Bank at 29th and South Topeka Blvd. told police that a man walked into the bank around 5 pm Tuesday, displayed a weapon and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police used the workers' description to find the suspect. The 20-year old man led police on a short foot chase and was arrested at 31st and Lincoln. The suspect's name has not yet been released.
Topeka Police and the FBI continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007.
