Topeka Bank Robber Remains At Large

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Police were investigating the robbery of a Topeka bank Wednesday morning.

Topeka Police and the FBI were called to Lyndon State Bank at 1535 SW Fairlawn just after 9 a.m.

According to police a man knocked on the locked front door of the bank before being let in by an employee.

The man approached a teller window and demanded money. Although he claimed to have a weapon, one was never displayed.

The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash. No employees were injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male 6'-6'4" tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and blue flowered bandana.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call 785-234-0007.

The investigation remained active around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. The suspect was not in custody.
