LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP/WIBW) -- Lawrence Police have identified man whose body was found Wednesday morning on the side of a busy highway as 37 year-old Nathan Thurman.
Lawrence Police say a man on his way to work found Thurman's body along K-10, near an industrial area called Venture Park. Sgt. Trent McKinley says the body was located in a grassy area off a westbound stretch of the highway that is comprised of two lanes, an extended right-turn lane into the industrial park and a shoulder.
He said an autopsy was planned for late Wednesday to determine a cause of death, but McKinely said, so far, there are no signs of foul play.
One westbound lane of the highway was closed for several hours Wednesday morning while authorities investigated the scene.
