TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Two Shawnee County trials scheduled to start Monday have been rescheduled.
In one case, the jury trial on child porn charges for a man also accused of killing his mother is delayed. Jason Hachmeister will now be in court December 9 on more than 100 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The trial also was scheduled to begin Monday for a man accused of shooting two people in the Hi-Crest neighborhood in February. Court records show D'Wayne Gooch asked for a new attorney at the beginning of the month.
His trial for attempted second degree murder is now set for January 6.
