MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- A drug bust at a Manhattan home led to the arrest of a Kansas State University student. Officials say the raid was the result of an ongoing drug investigation.
There was a heavy police presence at 825 Bluemont Avenue Friday as Riley County police investigators and members of the SWAT team executed a search warrant just before 5 PM.
A spokesman for the Riley County Police Department said the search warrant was in relation to the distribution of drugs.
Tyrone Smalls, 24, was arrested at the scene for Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute Within 1,000 Feet of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (felony) and Possession of Stolen Property.
Kansas State University's website lists Smalls as a sophomore studying sociology.
His bond was set at $30,000. Officials indicated Tuesday at Smalls posted bond and was no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
