COUNCIL GROVE (WIBW) -- A Burdick man was killed after he lost control of pickup along a Morris Co. highway late Saturday night, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
KHP reports indicate Marlin Miser was heading east on U.S. Highway 56 shortly after 11:00 p.m. when his 1993 Dodge truck crossed over into oncoming traffic.
The 48 year-old man overcorrected and lost control of the pickup, sending it in and and out of the south ditch. The truck eventually came to a stop back on the roadway.
The Highway Patrol said he was not wearing his seat belt.
