(KAKE)-- A manhunt is underway following a burglary in Cowley County this morning, and the Butler County sheriff says it could be the same suspect who shot one of his deputies earlier this week.
Dispatchers tell KAKE News a woman who lives east of Udall came home to find her home being burglarized. She spotted a man who ran out the back door of her house. The only description of the suspect is that he is a white man.
KAKE's Chris Frank is on the scene and reports several law enforcement agencies are involved in the manhunt including the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Cowley County Sheriff's office and Wichita Police. K-9 units, four wheelers and the Kansas Highway Patrol helicopter are joining in the search.
The manhunt comes two days after a Butler County Sheriff's deputy was wounded. The suspect in that case, Jan Kilbourne, has not been captured.
