MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say $2400 worth of merchandise was taken from a Manhattan pharmacy during a weekend break-in.

Officers were called to Kellstrom Pharmacy on Claflin road at 10:25 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2012.

Officials say the suspect broke a window at the business and stole a number of items but police could not list exactly what was taken.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a break-in at Kansas State University’s student health center located close to Kellstrom Pharmacy after several thousand dollars worth of prescription pills were stolen.

On Saturday, September 15, 2012, K-State police officers responded to a lapsed burglary at the Lafene Health Center on Sunset Avenue, adjacent to the west side of campus.

Officials say $3,000 worth of various prescription drugs were taken from the pharmacy, located inside the health center. The suspect or suspects forced their way into the pharmacy, police said.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Andy Moeller at 785-532-6412. Anonymous tips can be sent to .

It’s not clear if the burglary at the student health center is connected to another recent break-in at the medical facility.

At 1:30 AM on September 5, 2012, Riley County police say two men shattered a front window in an effort to burglarize a pain clinic, part of Mercy Regional Health Center’s Sunset Campus. Once inside the hospital building, officials say the suspects were unable to get into the main pain clinic and ended up leaving the area. The incident is being investigated as an aggravated burglary.
