MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say a Manhattan man’s credit cards were stolen and then used at Best Buy and Target, racking up several thousand dollars worth of purchases.

Sometime between 3 PM on October 23, 2012 and 5 PM on October 24, 2012, an unknown suspect or suspects broke into 64-year-old Robert Randall’s car and stole two of his VISA credit cards. Reports indicate that the break-in happened at 800 Anneberg Circle in Manhattan, the address for Wildcat Creek Golf and Fitness.

Officials say the cards were used to purchase $5,000 worth of items.

The case is being investigated as a Vehicle Burglary, Theft and Criminal Use of a Financial Card.
