MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police arrested a Manhattan man for DUI and a number of other charges after officials say he caused an accident, left the scene and tried to flee from police once they located him.
Jamar Fudge, 27, was arrested on January 11, 2013 at 1:40 AM for DUI, Fleeing and Eluding, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident and Failure to Stop and Render Aid at an Injury Accident.
According to police, Fudge rear-ended another car at the intersection of North Manhattan Avenue and Petticoat Lane and fled the scene of the collision. The driver of the other car, 54-year-old Anthony Cobb of Manhattan, complained of neck pain at the scene but declined transport to the hospital.
A short time later, an officer located Fudge's car on Strong Avenue and when he tried to pull Fudge over, Fudge took off but only went a few blocks before stopping. He was then taken into custody.
