TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - One man suffered non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon in what police called a drive-by shooting.
Topeka Police received calls of gunshots in the Oakland area around 3:30 pm Tuesday. They say officers were led to the intersection of NE Wabash and Fairchild after stopping a vehicle at 8th and Washburn that had been reported leaving the shooting area. Police say the lone man inside the vehicle, 21-year old Jordan Bugg, was driving himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police say his vehicle and another were parked in the street when an altercation led to gunfire/ The investigation continues. Anyone with information should call crime Stoppers, 785-234-0007.
