Man Struck With Bat Outside of Manhattan Hotel

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are investigating an altercation outside of a Manhattan hotel after a Kentucky man said he was hit with a baseball bat during an argument.

Ricky Hunt II, 31, reported to RCPD on March 8, 2013 at 8:50 PM that he was engaged in an argument in the parking lot of America's Best Value Inn on Tuttle Creek Boulevard when the person he was arguing with struck him with a bat.

Officials say Hunt declined treatment from paramedics at the scene. His injuries are unknown.

The suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived. Their identity was not released.

The incident is being investigated as an aggravated battery.
