MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are searching for a man caught peeking into a woman's window in Manhattan.
At 6:40 AM on Tuesday, October 9th, a 49-year-old Manhattan resident called police and reported that he saw a man looking in the window of his neighbor's house. Police list the neighbor as a 23-year-old woman and Kansas State University student. Her name is not being released.
An RCPD spokesman says there are "investigative leads" in the window peeping incident but declined to release any other information. The department classifies the crime as a sex offense in their system so an exact address of where it happened is not being released. Officials say it is a privacy issue and they want to protect the victim. They would only say that it occurred in the "north central part of Manhattan."
The matter remains under investigation.
