TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man will spend 33 years in federal prison for killing an employee at the Hudson Crossing Liquor Store last Christmas Eve.
45-year-old Matthew Myers pleaded guilty Thursday to killing 41-year-old Matthew Hill.
Court documents indicate Myers admitted to threatening Hill with a crowbar, then hitting him when Will went for a .38 caliber handgun. The documents go on to state that Myers shot Hill in the neck, then came back and shot him in the head when Hill tried to get up.
Sentencing is set for November 26. Attorneys have agreed to the 33-year federal prison term.
