Man Convicted In Kansas Kidnapping Pleads In Colorado Murder

(WIBW) - A man who took a couple hostage in Kansas pleaded guilty to second degree murder in Colorado Monday.

Jesse Dimmick was convicted of stabbing another man to death in 2009.

Authorities say he was fleeing that scene when he ended up involved in a chase with authorities in Geary County. He initially elude authorities but, the next morning, was captured after taking Lindsey and Jared Rowley hostage in their Dover home.

According to the Aurora Sentinel, Dimmick faces up to 48 years in prison for the stabbing death of Michael Curtis in September of 2009. Sentencing is set for June.

Dimmick was sentenced to 11 years in prison in Kansas for the kidnapping case.
