TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities caught up with a suspect in a Louisiana murder in Topeka.
The Kansas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force arrested 20-year-old Trei Diante Bailey Wednesday morning at an apartment in the 1900 block of SW Washburn. Authorities say they acted on information from the U.S. Marshal's Service in Louisiana. They say Bailey was taken into custody without incident.
Bailey is being held for second degree murder and illegal use of a weapon for the August 14th shooting death of D'Andre Robertson in Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge police say a woman brought Robertson with her when she confronted her sister about stealing clothing. Police say Robertson was watching from the street when the sister's boyfriend, Lee Williams, fired shots, hitting Robertson. Williams was arrested that night. Bailey was named as a second suspect several days later.
