TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) The Kansas High Court upheld's the life sentence conviction of a man convicted in the 2009 murder of his stepfather.
The Kansas Supreme Court affirmed a Shawnee County District Courts decision that Scott Mosher should serve life imprisonment with no chance of parole for 20 years for the death of Gerald Eberhardt.
Mosher argued on appeal that the sentencing judge's decision was so unreasonable that no other person would have taken the judge's approach.
The Kansas High Court disagreed, observing that the judge's comments at the sentencing reflected consideration of the amount of planning that went into the murder
