K-State Students Attacked In Aggieville

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police are investigating an attack on two Kansas State University students in Manhattan’s Aggieville district.

At 12:15 AM on Sunday, September 23, 2012 in the 1100 block of Moro Street, 21-year-old Matthew Dabratz and 21-year-old Carston Cooper say they were walking west down Moro when they were punched by an unknown man near the Hunam Express restaurant. Cooper was left with swelling to his face but Dabratz fell back and hit his head on the pavement, leaving him with a severe laceration to the back of his head.

The incident is being investigated as an Aggravated Battery (on Dabratz) and Battery (on Cooper).
