Junction City Police Warns Residents About Daytime Break-Ins

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. -- The Junction City Police Department wants to alert the local citizens of a recent rash of residential burglaries that have taken place in the northeast area of Junction City.

The areas where reports have been taken so far are the 200 block of West Home Street, and the 400 block of W 18th Street.

It has been reported that a possible suspect, who was seen in the area of Home Street incident, is described as a black male, 5’8” to 5’10”, approximately 200 lbs, short black hair, wearing dark colored clothing.

It is believed the suspect is knocking on doors and when he gets no response, then forces entry in to the residence by kicking the door in.

To this date, these incidents have taken place at apartment complexes during daylight morning hours.

The Junction City Police Department is requesting that if you observe any suspicious activity taking place as described to contact the Junction City Police Department.
