JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Junction City police say they’ve connected a local man to several break-ins at homes that were targeted in the middle of the night as the residents were asleep inside.
Stanley Schulz, 27, was arrested Monday, January 7, 2013 by Junction City detectives in connection with four aggravated burglaries.
On November 6, 2012, four houses were broken into overnight in a subdivision on Deerfield Boulevard.
Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown says Schultz got into the occupied homes through unlocked windows and doors and made his way around, stealing things he could easily get his hands on like wallets, cash and a Play Station.
Brown says investigators received new information last week that Schultz was involved in the crimes and a search warrant at his home on Grant Avenue Monday turned up a number of items police believe were taken in the burglaries.
Schultz’s mother, Veronica Osborne, was also arrested Monday for Possession of Stolen Property and Felony Obstruction in connection with the case.
