JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A 29-year-old man was taken into custody by Junction City police after losing control of his car in the parking lot of a McDonald's and striking a nearby building.

Just after 8 PM on Monday, August 27, 2012, reports indicate that Dane Brenden, 29, of Junction City, lost control of his 2006 white Cadillac in the north parking lot of the McDonald's on West 6th Street and drove through a fence, striking a building at 409 West 7th Street- the office for Handy's convenience stores.

Brenden was arrested for DUI, Inattentive Driving, Speeding and Refusal of a Preliminary Breath Test.

No injuries were reported.

Police aren't sure if Brenden was trying to go through the drive thru at the McDonald's at the time of the crash. Officials say he did not know where he was when officers tried to speak to him at the scene. According to police, Brenden presented a military ID to them when he was asked for identification.
