TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Corporation Commission says it needs more time to complete its investigation into a fatal house explosion.
The KCC had a deadline of Tuesday to present its recommendation in the January blast that killed 81 year old Lucinia Tolliver.
But the KCC stated on July 20 that they need additional time to compile information and finish the investigation.
Tolliver suffered severe burns and died when a gas line was hit near her home at 1905 Navajo Lane and exploded.
Attorneys say Kansas Gas Service had an operator on hold for almost 20 minutes and never evacuated the residence.
