TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A topeka couple will serve probation for setting fire to their home in 2010.

Court records indicate Brett Hedrick was sentenced September 12 to 10 months in prison, but that was suspended in lieu of 18 months of probation with court services.

His wife Jammie Hedrick was sentenced Friday to 12 months, but that was also suspended for probation.

The two were ordered to pay restitution. The amount will be determined by a judge within 30 days.

The Hedricks were charged in May 2013 for an October 2010 fire at their then-home on SE Rice Road.

The home was deemed a total loss.
