Former TCF Employee Indicted On Gun, Drug Charges

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A former Topeka Correctional Facility employee was indicted Wednesday on federal drug trafficking and firearms violations.

Anastacio Gallardo,33, is charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, carrying a firearm to further a drug trafficking crime and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Gallardo taught plumbing classes at the Topeka Correctional Facility.

He was convicted in 2008 for felony counts of trafficking in a prison and having sex with an inmate.

If convicted in this case, Gallardo faces life in prison and a $2.5 million fine.
