Five Citations Issued In Underage Drinking Operation

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Authorities issued five citations in a recent underage drinking sting.

Safe Streets, Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Topeka Police Department conducted the sting last Thursday.

They issued two administrative citations for the sale of alcohol to a minor and three for furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Out of 19 controlled buys made at liquor licensee businesses, two sold to minors. Those were New City Cafe and Meyer Retail Liquor.
