Father To Be Arraigned On Abuse Charges Involving 3-Month-Old Son

GEARY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Fort Riley soldier accused of abusing his infant son is set to appear in court on Monday.

His arraignment is set for Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Geary County courthouse.

Officials say Jordan Erksine's three-month-old son arrived at Fort Riley's Irwin Army Hospital on June 9, 2012 with possible seizures and was transferred to Children’s Mercy on June 10, 2012.

According to authorities, examination of the child revealed intracranial bleeding, four rib fractures, fracture of the elbow and a fracture below the knee.

Erksine, a Fort Riley soldier, was arrested in August, 2012 after Junction City police detectives completed their investigation.
