MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say an attempt by two men to break into a Manhattan pain clinic early Wednesday morning was unsuccessful.

At 1:30 AM on September 5, 2012, officers were called to Mercy Regional Health Center’s Sunset Campus on Sunset Avenue after a security officer for the hospital spotted two men trying to gain access to the medical facility.

Police say the duo tried breaking in through doors and ended up shattering a front window. Once inside the hospital building, officials say the suspects were unable to get into the main pain clinic and ended up leaving the area.

The incident is being investigated as an aggravated burglary.

According to police, one of the suspects is described as a black male in his mid twenties, 6’ tall, wearing dark coveralls and a stocking cap. The other suspect is described as a white male in his mid twenties, 5’8”, wearing gray cargo shorts, a black t-shirt and a stocking cap.
