Topeka (WIBW) - Murder charges are now officially filed against three people in connections with a weekend shooting in the Topeka West High School parking lot.
District Attorney Chad Taylor filed the case late Wednesday afternoon.
21-year old Coty Newman, 19-year-old Austin Tabor and 20-year old Samantha Hochard each face counts of first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, aggravated battery, and two counts of attempted sale of marijuana in a school zone.
20-year-old Matthew Mitchell of Topeka was killed in the Saturday night shooting and 17-year old Treshawn Wynne was wounded. Topeka Police have said it was drug related and that the victims and suspects knew each other. They also say it was not related to the school.
