DA Seeking To Have Suspect In Topeka West Murder Plot Tried As Adult

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Shawnee County District Attorney is officially seeking to have a teenager suspected in a murder for hire plot at Topeka West High School tried as an adult.

Court documents obtained by 13 News indicate a motion to try 17-year-old Brendan Moore as an adult was filed February 6th.

Moore faces four counts of solicitation to commit first degree murder.

Police arrested Moore January 14th. They say he was planning to murder two administrators and two law enforcement officers at Topeka West High School.

His next court appearance is set for Thursday February 27th.
