Clerk Fights Back During Attempted Robbery At Manhattan Hotel
MANHATTAN, Kan. -- The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating an attempted aggravated robbery to the Best Western Motel located at 601 East Poyntz, Manhattan.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 pm on 7/01/2012.
The night clerk reported that a male suspect wearing black clothing, black hoodie and having a bandanna covering his face approached the clerk brandishing a knife and demanding money.
The clerk struck the suspect with a phone, and the suspect then fled the scene empty handed .
The suspect was described having a medium build. Anyone in the area that may have seen this individual leaving the area of 601 East Poyntz, or has any information on this crime is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office at 785-457-3353.
