City To Consider Paying For Medical Bills For Man Shot By Police

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The city council will decide next week if the city will pay the medical bills of a man shot by police when he brandished a gun in 2010.

Juan Adan Lucio has a bill of more than $17,000 from Stormont-Vail.

Police say Lucio stole a car during a home invasion in December 2010.

Officers say Lucio ran from the vehicle and turned on an officer, who fired his gun.
