Charges Filed Against Man Accused In Grocery Store Stabbing

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Formal charges were filed Wednesday against the man accused of stabbing a grocery store employee.

Anthony Downing faces one count of attempted intentional second degree murder.

Police say Downing stabbed 26-year-old Joshua Nottingham multiple times Saturday morning outside the Dillons store near Huntoon and Lane.

Information on Nottingham's condition is not being released.

Downing remains jailed on a $100,000 bond.
