TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka Police were called to a Topeka apartment building Monday after a body was found in a parked car.

According to police dispatch, officers responded to the scene near 17th and Washburn Ave. around 10:20 a.m.

An individual was reportedly found dead in a parked vehicle at Washburn North Apartments, located at 1516 SW 17th. The apartment building is across the street from Washburn University.

Police dispatch said investigators were on scene Monday morning. Crime scene tape could be seen surrounding areas around a parked vehicle.

Police on scene told 13 News that foul play was not suspected. Further details were not immediately released.
