WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE)— Police officers have made an arrest in connection to the murder of a Wichita radio station employee earlier this week.

Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, officers stopped a car near 37th and Woodlawn around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. Police say that after the stop, the driver stabbed himself in the stomach. He's currently under police watch at a Wichita hospital.

He's been identified as 31-year-old Antwon Banks. According to police, Banks is an ex-boyfriend of a woman who works at the radio station and that he did not know the victim, Daniel Flores. According to Lt. Todd Ojile, Flores may have simply been at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Ojile said that once Banks is released from the hospital, he will be booked for felony murder. Officers are not looking for additional suspects.
