TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka police are trying to sort out a shooting that had officers in at least three locations Thursday afternoon.
Just after noon, police received calls of more than a dozen shots fired in the area around SE 7th and Locust.
From there, dispatchers were told a shooting victim was located outside apartments near 3rd and Lime.
A short time after that, police say a private vehicle transporting a person with a gunshot wound met an ambulance at 4th and Kansas, near the law enforcement center. The ambulance then took the victim to the hospital.
Police did not know the extent of his injuries Thursday afternoon.
