TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Topeka Police are driven to capture a man they believe is behind several armed robberies of businesses in Topeka.

Police issued a code red to keep store owners on high alert.

It comes after last night's holdup at the Domino's Pizza at Eighth and Topeka. Police say the man stole cash and sexually assaulted a store worker.

Police are investigating whether the same suspect is behind more than a half dozen other burglaries.

They say a crime spree of this magnitude is rare in Topeka.

Police describe the suspect as a black man about five-foot-eleven, 160 pounds, wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, dark sunglasses and a ball cap with a white towel over his face
